Reader Reviews:

This is but a sampling of author Mindy Killgrove's superbly crafted writing style in her debut romance novel "Meet Me at the Pond". Reading her narrative is like being there as a kind of observer character yourself. Thoroughly engaging and entertaining, "Meet Me at the Pond" is available as a paperback, but also through Kindle and is highly recommended for a leisure time reading list.

Falling in love is a bit like running a race--it's not easy for anyone.
Meet Me at Fountain Park
Everything changes, or at least that’s what they say. For Missy Lawrence, this old adage just doesn’t fit. Her life has come to an unsolicited standstill. Her job as a news reporter for WSTA-Charlotte is miraculously mundane and her love life is practically non-existent. Even though she tries, she can’t seem to pull herself out of this rut.
While she’s stuck in between, all of her friends are finding themselves in a flurry of activities: Brooklyn’s moving in with Duke, Benson and Jack are heading across the country in search of stardom, and Adair is preparing to walk down the aisle and wed the man of her dreams. As her social engagements pile up, she notices that her calendar has reached maximum capacity because of her friends and their obligations. Missy now realizes that she is going to have to make a huge decision: Will she stay in the past or will she join her capricious pals and take a leap of her own?

Reader Reviews:
Mindy Killgrove builds the story of a modern young woman and her group of friends in this second novel in the Missy Lawrence Trilogy: Meet Me at Fountain Park. With a delicious blend of humor, sex appeal, and naivety, Killgrove takes the reader inside the eyes of the protagonist and allows them to ponder some of life’s biggest questions. This novel is the perfect beach blanket read and can be devoured on one sunny afternoon.

Again, Missy Lawrence and her band of fabulous friends drew me in and entertained me throughout this entire second installment of Killgrove's Missy Lawrence Trilogy. I felt her characters were so accessible, and the ups and downs they found themselves in throughout the work so relatable, that I'm really looking forward to her third installment (although I will be sad when there isn't any new material).
This was such a great sophomoric release that I highly recommend it to all would-be Missy Lawrence fans!

They’re better together, but will their secrets keep them apart?
Meet Me at Blessed Creek
Missy Lawrence prides herself on being a loyal and trustworthy pal, the kind of person anybody would be lucky to call their best bud. She places a premium on her friendships, investing all the time she has at her disposal in making sure her closest companions know just how much she appreciates and treasures them. But when circumstances separate her from the man she once loved so dearly, the distance washes away what they had and she’s stuck wondering what became of him.

Nathan Hamilton is thrilled to be returning to Charlotte after all this time. He’s coming back to town for a work conference, but he’s not just there on business. He’s got other ideas, too. It’s been thirteen long years since he last saw Missy and he can’t wait to meet up with her, listen to the sound of her voice, and just hold her in his arms once again. He relishes the idea of rekindling the closeness they once had.

But thirteen years is a long time to go without speaking to one another. A lot has happened since they last said goodbye. Nate’s got secrets and Missy does, too. Will she tell him why she acted uncharacteristically and just sort of let go of their relationship? And will he reveal the circumstances that have prevented him from reviving their romance long ago? Or will time have eroded all that once lay between them, leaving Missy and Nathan both wondering where they went wrong and how they could’ve lost touch when it’s so easy to stay connected?
